Flexitank solutions for non-hazardous bulk liquids

Supply, installation and loading of flexitanks, with heating solutions for temperature-sensitive cargo at destination.

Filled flexitank installed in a 20ft container with bulkhead at the door
Overview

A cost-efficient alternative to drums and IBCs

A flexitank is a single-use, multi-layer bladder installed inside a standard 20ft dry container, converting it into a bulk liquid transport unit for sea, rail and road. After discharge, the liner is removed and recycled.

Applications

Products suitable for flexitank transport

Food gradeSunflower oil · Rapeseed oil · Wine · Fruit juices & concentrates · Glucose & syrups · Molasses · Mineral water
IndustrialGlycerine · Base & lube oils · Latex · Biodiesel · Plasticisers · Detergents · Non-hazardous chemicals

Liquids classified as hazardous under the IMDG Code are not transported in flexitanks. For such cargo we offer isotank solutions.

Heating

Heating solutions for temperature-sensitive cargo

Products such as palm oil, glycerine, fats and certain syrups may solidify during transit. Heating pads installed beneath the flexitank restore flowability prior to discharge.

  • Steam heatingRapid, uniform heating where a steam supply is available at the discharge site.
  • Hot-water heatingControlled heating for sites without a steam supply and for heat-sensitive products.
  • Thermal linersInsulation against temperature fluctuations in transit, recommended for bulk wine.
